Sr. Director of Planning & Development
Shannetta Griffin, a professional engineer, serves as the senior director of planning and development for the Indianapolis Airport Authority. In her 30 year aviation career, she has developed experience in many areas of transportation engineering, planning, design and business development, which include aviation applications such as runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, terminal planning and environmental engineering. For more than 15 years prior to joining IAA, Griffin served in numerous roles with an international consulting firm and as a National Aviation Market Leader. Griffin has held several leadership positions with organizations such as Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), National Forum of Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) and currently is the Chair of the ACI Business Diversity Committee. She is also a member of several local and national engineering and professional organizations. Griffin holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo, and was recognized as the 2004 Outstanding Alumni for the College of Civil Engineering.
